Introduction

The people of Tigray, who have more than four thousand years of experience in governance, have faced repeated failures and challenges. Simret will take the liberation of Tigray from this cycle as its timeless mission.

Part One: General Provisions

Article 1: Short Title

These bylaws may be cited as the "Tigray Democratic Alliance/Simret Bylaws".

Article 2: Name of Party

This party is called the "Democratic Simret of Tigray" ("Simret" for short).

Part Two: Rights and Duties of Members

Article 4: Membership Criteria

An individual who becomes a member must be a native of Tigray, accept Simret Program and Bylaws, be 18 years or older, and sign willingness to become a member.

Part Three: Organization

Article 6: Organizational Structure

The party shall be organized at: National Congress, Central Committee, Executive Committee, Regional Committees, District Committees, and Local Cells.

Part Four: Leadership

Article 8: Leadership Structure

The party leadership consists of Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary General, Treasurer, and Department Heads. Term limits of 4 years (maximum 2 consecutive terms).

Part Five: Special Provisions

Article 10: Amendments

These bylaws may be amended by two-thirds majority vote at National Congress.
